Eligibility Criteria
The Asian Phytopathological Society invites enthusiastic and committed individuals to apply for its Ambassador Program. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be a current Ph.D. student or have recently completed a Ph.D. in any field of plant pathology or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrate a strong interest in plant health, crop protection, and phytopathological research.
Possess good communication and outreach skills, with a passion for engaging the broader scientific community.
Be willing to actively support and promote the objectives of the Asian Phytopathological Society.
Please note that this is a voluntary position with no financial compensation. The role is designed to promote engagement, representation, and scientific outreach within the region and beyond.
Role and Responsibilities
APS Ambassadors act as representatives of the Society within their academic and professional communities. Their key responsibilities include:
Promoting the mission, initiatives, and events of the Asian Phytopathological Society within their institutions and networks.
Encouraging students and early-career researchers to participate in APS conferences, publications, and collaborative activities.
Representing APS at relevant academic and scientific forums, workshops, and webinars.
Supporting regional and international outreach efforts to strengthen plant pathology research and awareness.
This role presents a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, establish professional networks, and make meaningful contributions to the advancement of plant pathology across Asia.
